I am a lie and I am gold, but I shall never grow old

Catalog of the third curatorship for CIAC’s office in 2016

I am a lie and I am gold, but I shall never grow old, curated by Michele Fiedler, was the third exhibition made specifically for the collection’s office. This curatorship starts with something as banal as a man’s pickup line heard in a bar that unleashes a reflection on how the female figure has been represented. This selection brings together works in which women plays a more passive role as a model, works that break with the traditional image of the woman, and a series of works in which the woman herself is the one to decide the form in which she will be represented throughout the history of art.
